. . .Born and raised in Santa Barbara, California, Linda relocated to the San Francisco Bay area in 1991.  Her career in apparel design and pattern drafting has taken her all over the world and introduced her to many different cultures and peoples.  Linda’s life-long commitment to presence and consciousness continues to unfold, as both an inward journey and the outward expression which makes its way to the canvas. 

. . . From a tender age, Linda always had one thing in her hand... a tool to communicate.  Be it a pen, pencil, or paint-brush, an unquenchable need to translate thoughts and images into form was innate from birth.  A wonderful son was born to her during a brief marriage in her early 20’s, and so, as a single mother, she focused many of her early years, energy, and love in the growing of that young man.  Her son now raised, Linda has refocused her attention on the juicy world of creativity. 

. . .She was called back to painting during her first trip to Europe 1994.  A series of serendipitous events found her promising the owner of the Hotel Bristol in Sorrento, Italy that upon her return to the states, she would pick up the paint brush again after 15 years, and send him the result.  

. . .That painting would be a gesture of thanks to him for imparting the message: (all the while, Italian hands waving madly...):  “YOU MUST-A LIVE-A DI PASSIONATE-A LIFE!”  Essentially the key message of that life altering trip was:  Give voice to those desires that burn like a fire in your chest.  Waste not your days or your gifts.  Live life from the INSIDE out, and do so passionately.

.. . .Linda is primarily self taught and is drawn to bold expressions of color and texture; intrigued by the concept of storytelling within a piece of art.  She works in water based media.
